CLEVELAND, Ga. — Brandon Cramer stole home to give Dawson County the lead in the top of the eighth then held on to knock off White County, 6-5, on the road Tuesday.
It was the Tigers' second straight win in as many days over the Warriors (9-3, 3-2 Region 7-3A) and was just part of Cramer's massive day for the Tigers (10-4, 5-0 Region 7-3A). Cramer also smacked a three-run home run in the fifth inning to lift the Tigers into the lead for the first time, 5-4.
With the game tied, Cramer reached on a single to right field earlier in the inning and was advanced on a Jorner single and an Andrew Burt pop fly, setting up the go-ahead run at third. A batter later, Cramer took home to push the Tigers ahead. The run completed the Tigers' comeback, who found themselves down 4-2 after four innings.
White County left the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning.
But it wasn't all bad for the Warriors, who tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning on a wild pitch from Dawson County's Joshua Priest that brought home Landon Roberts.

Cramer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Dawson County in hits.

The Lightning (4-3) struggled at the plate in the loss to King's Academy on Tuesday. Despite a strong outing from pitcher Camden Hohman, who struck out 10 while only walking one.
LCA's Gavin Strabala pushed the Lightning ahead with a solo home run in the second inning, but King's Academy rallied to the lead in the sixth inning and never looked back.
Hohman and Strabala had multiple hits while Caleb Moore and Joshua Waymack also added hits.

CHESTATEE 1
Jefferson (8-6, 3-1 Region 8-4A) scored all 12 runs in two innings, including a massive seven-run second inning to take a 7-1 lead en route to the win over the War Eagles (3-11, 0-4 Region 8-4A) on the road Tuesday.
Spencer Neese was almost unhittable, allowing just one run on one hit and four strikeouts. Zach Grow pitched one hitless inning for the Dragons.
Aiden Dumas led the Dragons at the plate with a 3-for-3 performance and two RBIs. Jase Peoples added a hit and drove in two runs, Roger Hulsey had two hits and two RBIs. Brett Kelley was 2-for-2 with one RBI, Matthew Perrin finished with two hits and an RBI, and Levin Jones was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Chestatee's Nolan Turner ripped the War Eagles' only hit and scored the lone run in the first inning.
