LAGRANGE — The Buford girls tennis team won the Division II of the 31st Annual Granger Invitational Tennis Tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Wolves (11-3) defeated Coffee County in the finals. Hannah Davidson got the deciding match with thrilling three-set win, including a pair of tiebreakers in th final two sets. Taylor Aycock and Berkley Clark, who, along with Davidson went undefeated in the tournament, got the other two team points for the win.
The Lady Wolves next will resume Region 8-6A play on Monday playing host to Winder-Barrow at Buford City Park.
The Buford boys, meanwhile, were knocked off North Gwinnett, 3-2, in the Division 1 Championship. Dean Kingsley and James Troutt earned the two points for the Wolves, who fell to 11-3 on the season.
