The North Georgia Community Foundation welcomed four new board members last month.
According to a press statement from the foundation, each of the new board members will help support the foundation's mission to help individuals and nonprofits invest generously in the lives of those who call the community home.
The new members include:
- Don Grimsley, president of Grimsley Enterprises, Inc. Grimsley has been a commercial real estate broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices since 2007. He also owns and operates four Dairy Queen restaurants in Habersham County.
- Tracy L. Moon, Jr., partner in the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips, LLP. Moon has practiced law for more than 25 years; he represents employers in successfully solving employment and labor issues arising in the workplace.
- Tate Izlar O'Rouke, Business Development manager for Jackson EMC in the Gainesville District. O’Rouke handles marketing and sales efforts of prospective commercial and industrial members, manages a key account portfolio, legislative efforts, and economic development and community engagement activities.
- John Vardeman, president of Morton, Vardeman & Carlson. Vardeman leads Northeast Georgia’s oldest and largest marketing and public relations firm, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.
Each of these new board members is serving their first, three-year term.
“We are honored to have this diverse group of leaders choose to spend their time, talents, and skills by serving on the North Georgia Community Foundation Board of Directors,” said Michelle Prater, president and CEO of NGCF. “They each bring a wealth of knowledge in their fields and a dedication to encouraging philanthropy across North Georgia.
