GAINESVILLE — North Hall and Rabun Gap split a doubleheader on Saturday at Cottrell Field.
The Trojans held on for a 10-8 win in the first game while Rabun rallied for a 3-1 win in the nightcap.
In the opening game, North Hall (3-3) jumped out to a 4-1 in the first inning and eventually led 9-1 going into the sixth inning. Bradford Puryear had two hits and Jace Bowen had two RBI.
Meanwhile, Eli Reece got the win tossing five innings and allowing just three hits and two earned runs.
In the second game, Rabun Gap (4-1) scored three runs in the top of the seventh to rally for the win.
North Hall led 1-0 in the first when Tate Brooks scored after walking to open the game.
It stayed that way until the Eagles’ Alexander Cordero belted a three-run home run in the seventh.
