Boys soccer: East Hall routs Stephens County; No. 2 JHS holds off Chestatee

TOCCOA  — The East Hall boys won their second consecutive game Tuesday night with a 7-0 rout of Stephens County on the road. 

David Loza led the way with two goals and Justin Torres, Eden Castrejon, Angel Perez, Ranferi Lara, and Arturo Lira all provided one goal each for the Vikings (2-4-1).

Amado Valladarez had 3 assists while Migiul Dominguez, Angel Perez, and Pedro Delgado each had one assist for East Hall. 

Wilber Bernal recorded the shutout in goal. 

The Vikings next will play host to Cherokee Bluff on Friday.


JOHNSON 4,
CHESTATEE 2

Kevin Castillo and Jorge Sandoval each scored a pair of goals to lead Class 5A No. 2 Johnson to a 4-2 win over Chestatee on Tuesday in non-region action at the Lynn Cottrell Complex.

Johnson (5-0-1) got assists from Angel Sagrero, David Arteaga, and Jeffrey Castillo.

It was the third straight loss for the War Eagles (3-3-1).

Chestatee next will play host to Eastside on Friday. Johnson will play host to arch-rival West Hall on Friday in the Battle of Oakwood.
