Several people were injured in a three-vehicle accident involving a Hall County school bus Friday morning in Flowery Branch. However, no students were injured in the incident.

The accident happened at the intersection of Martin Road, HF Reed Industrial Parkway and Falcon Parkway, according to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol.

A Ford Ranger driven by David Whetsell, 73, of Cleveland, was reportedly traveling southbound on Falcon Parkway. Whetsell had a passenger in the truck, Janice Boone, 74, of Cleveland.

The Hall County school bus, driven by Karen Pass, 61, of Braselton, was heading east on HF Reed Industrial Parkway in the left turning lane. The bus had a 9-year-old student on board. A 2015 Audi Q3 driven by Brianna Wright, 20, of Flowery Branch, was heading west on Martin Road in the left turning lane.

The school bus and Audi began turning left onto Falcon Parkway after the traffic light displayed a green arrow, at which time the Ford Ranger allegedly ran the traffic light on Falcon Parkway. The truck struck the left side of the school bus, and later hit the right front side of the Audi.

The passenger of the truck, Boone, sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries. Whetsell, Pass, and Wright all sustained minor injuries in the accident.  The student did not sustain any injuries. The Georgia State Patrol said Boone, Pass, and Wright were all transported to a local hospital.

Whetsell was charged with failure to obey traffic control device.
