One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition after a head-on car crash Friday evening in Gainesville.
The car accident happened at about 7:45 p.m. on Browns Bridge Road near Florence Drive, according to a press statement from the Gainesville Police Department.
A Cadillac Escalade crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck a Nissan Murano head-on. The driver of the Escalade was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in serious condition. The driver and two passengers in the Murano were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in stable condition.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident, according to police. The crash remained under investigation as of Tuesday.
