LOGANVILLE, Ga. — Buford used its defense to pull away from North Forsyth in the second half en route to a 51-38 win at Walnut Grove on Wednesday.
North Forsyth (5-4) jumped on the Lady Wolves in the first quarter, behind six points from London Weaver, to take a 14-9 lead.
Weaver led the Lady Raiders with 10 points.
In the second quarter, Buford (10-0) outpaced the Lady Raiders 11-9 thanks to Lydia Ledford's six-point performance. However, NoFo held on to a slim 23-20 advantage at the half.
Ledford finished with 12 points.
Ava Grace Watson, who led the Lady Wolves with a game-high 23 points, scored 7 points in the third frame to help Buford to the lead, 36-27.
Defensively, the Lady Wolves held North Forsyth to just four points in the third quarter and 15 total in the second half.

Ellie Southards scored 22 points and Lucy Hood had 19 to lead the Lady Wildcats past Lakeview on the road Wednesday.
The Lady Wildcats had five players in double figures.
Mary Lovell scored 17 points, and Trea Blalock and Jackie McCall had 10 points.
