A Clarkesville man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a series of burglaries in May at Happy Pappy's Storage on Thompson Bridge Road.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, warrants were issued for Jeremy Alan Martyne, 35, following an investigation into break-ins at 11 units at the business on May 12, 2022.

Investigators said they found evidence that Martyne stole a variety of items in the break-ins, including a 2004 Ford Expedition, a trailer, two personal watercraft, tools and various other items. Many of the stolen items were found and returned to their owners during the investigation.

Martyne allegedly left the area and traveled to Florida. He was eventually arrested Tuesday after returning to North Georgia.

Martyne was booked into the Hall County Jail on 11 counts of second-degree burglary charges and theft by taking-motor vehicle.

Martyne remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
