No one was hurt, but a house in Baldwin experienced extensive damage after a fire Monday afternoon.
Banks County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported structure fire in a single-family home on 140 Hill Road around 2:19 p.m. Smoke and flames were showing, so crews made an aggressive interior attack.
The fire was quickly brought under control but according to Banks County Fire and EMS, the house suffered moderate to extensive damage.
The home was under renovation so no one was inside during the fire. The Banks County Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire, and at this time cannot rule out the possibility of an electrical fire. The cause of the fire has been listed as accidental at this time.
The fire was completely extinguished around 6:23 p.m.
