The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a man they say has been stealing packages from porches in a pair of Hoschton-area neighborhoods.

In a social media post, the sheriff's office said it has received several reports of packages being stolen in the Heritage Point and Southampton Falls subdivisions. Surveillance video of the thefts has shown a white man with long hair driving a Hyundai Santa Fe that appears to be dark-colored.

A video of one of the suspected thefts can be found on the sheriff's office's Facebook page.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call 911 or contact Jackson County Sheriff's Office Investigator Chad Herbert at 706-387-6042. The sheriff's office also has an anonymous tip line at 706-367-3784.
