GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Lakeview Academy outscored Union County 9-4 in overtime to rally for a 54-45 win over the Lady Panthers at home on Saturday.
Union County (4-5) led most of the way taking an 18-15 lead after the first quarter and a 32-27 advantage into halftime. Lakeview trimmed the lead to 39-37 heading into the fourth quarter.
Lakeview (3-5) held the Lady Panthers to just 10 points the rest of the way.
Dynesty Putman poured 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead the Lady Lions. Taliah Gaither had a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Kivana Bogne added 10 points and 6 rebounds for Lakeview.
Jia Thapar chipped in 7 points and Sidney Corbin contributed 4 points and pulled 8 rebounds.
Lakeview Academy is off until next Saturday when they travel to Fellowship Christian.
Union County if off until Friday when they play host to Fannin County.
