Old schoolhouse fills with activity for Christmas in Mt. Airy

Posted 6:31PM on Saturday 10th December 2022 ( 1 year ago )

The old Mt. Airy Schoolhouse was filled with excited children and the sounds and smells of Christmas Thursday night as the town celebrated Christmas in Mt. Airy.

Former Mayor Gary Morris and current town officials dreamed of the school turned town hall once again becoming a hub of activity for community gatherings and special events such as Thursday night’s pajama party.

Decorated in seasonal finery, the renovated building was filled with Christmas trees, wreaths, floral sprays and more to get visitors ready to celebrate the holiday.

There were light refreshments, crafts, stories and free photos with Santa.
