Polls are open in Georgia for the U.S. Senate runoff election.
Voters will decide between Democrat incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock and his Republican challenger, Herschel Walker. Warnock received more votes than Walker in November's general election, but neither candidate reached the 50 percent threshold needed to avoid a runoff.
Both candidates made stops in Hall County in the days leading up to the election. Warnock spoke at St. John Baptist Church in Gainesville Sunday and said he hopes voters turn out Tuesday.
“I'm heartened by the extraordinary early vote turnout that we saw during that period, but we can't rest—not even for one moment,” Warnock said.
Walker rallied with supporters at a restaurant in Flowery Branch on Monday.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Early voting in the race ended Friday.
