AAA’s weekly fuel report says Georgia’s average gas prices continue to decline.
The agency said Monday that, on average, Georgia drivers are now paying $2.96 per gallon for regular gasoline.
This week’s average is eight cents less than the previous week, 17 cents lower than a month ago, and 22 cents lower than this time last year.
It now costs $44.40 to fill up a 15 gallon tank of regular gasoline, which is almost $3.00 less than it cost last month.
“Pump prices have steadily decreased across Georgia over the past few weeks,” Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman said. “Declining crude oil prices continue to be the single largest factor influencing gas prices, as well as the Governor’s executive order to extend the suspension of the state diesel and gas taxes through December 11th.”
Gainesville, Albany, and Warner Robins have some of the cheapest gas, while Savannah, Hinesville-Fort Stewart, and Atlanta have the most expensive.
