Posted 11:01AM on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 ( 1 year ago )

Hall County Solicitor General Stephanie Woodard again is under scrutiny, this time by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission for failing to file required financial reports in 2022 and every year since 2018.

Woodward, who moved to Hall County in 2005 and took office in 2009, has spent only a small amount on campaigns in recent years due to no opposition, but still is required by state campaign finance law to file timely reports.

Woodard was served with a Nov. 14 subpoena at an address in Clermont and two addresses in Gainesville.

The subpoena requires Woodard to produce to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission before Dec. 14 records, documents and materials including:

The first violation carries a $1,000 fine and each additional count can be $10,000.

Woodard has run for office for the 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 election cycles.
