GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Chestatee girls opened their season with a solid 64-45 win over Sequoyah on Saturday in the Sandy Spiel Tipoff Classic hosted at Chestatee High School.
Riley Black had a huge game for the Lady War Eagles (1-0) pouring in 29 points and pulling down 12 rebounds to go with 6 steals. Sierra Yarbrough added 12 points and 6 rebounds, Addison Boyd had 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Blakely Boyd had 7 points and 4 rebounds for Chestatee. Payton Cable also contributed with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Chestatee next will play Effingham County in the Joe Greene Classic at Beach High School on Monday.
