The City of Gainesville governing body met on Thursday to discuss the TAD financing for the NoFo Brewing Company.

After a successful launch in 2019 in Cumming, the popular NoFo Brew Co. will soon be coming to 434 High Street SE in Gainesville.

This would place the building on the Midland Greenway near the Skate Park and excluding the patio, the total square footage of the building would be 17,662.

In total, the project is expected to cost $4,740,979 with $805,659 of that amount coming in TAD funds.

Windows, doors, entry and awnings would be the most expensive items in the TAD request totaling $200,000.

NoFo requested $805,659 in TAD funds but if approved the City Council will allocate up to $700,000.

The second most expensive feature would be to replace the roofing which would cost $170,000.

A 15 year estimated TAD with 100 percent assessed value puts the property at $601,536.

The completed project must be in conformance with the architectural renderings and budget as well as continuing to be used as a brewery with a tasting room.
