9th District Republican Congressman Andrew Clyde and 14th District Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene were reelected in Tuesday's midterm elections.

The two Republicans had their races called by the Associated Press around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Clyde said in an interview Tuesday evening that he was proud to represent Northeast Georgia.

"I'm excited that the folks of the 9th District reaffirmed my candidacy and are sending me back to Washington, D.C. to represent them for another two years," Clyde said.

Clyde defeated Democrat Mike Ford.

Meanwhile, the controversial Greene defeated Democrat Marcus Flowers.

Democrat Lucy McBath, Georgia's current 6th District Congresswoman, also won her race in the newly re-drawn 7th District.

Lastly, Republican Rich McCormick defeated Democrat Bob Christian in the 6th Congressional District race, and Republican Mike Collins defeated Democrat Tabitha Johnson-Green in the 10th Congressional District race.
