Three people suffered minor injuries after they were involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 985 in Hall County.
According to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened just before 5 p.m. on I-985 northbound near Friendship Road.
A Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van was traveling north on the roadway when it started to approach stopped traffic. Hunter Graham Bohannon, 19, of Toccoa, the driver of the Mercedes, was allegedly following too closely and struck the rear of a GMC Sierra, which was stopped in traffic.
The Mercedes continued and struck the rear of a Hyundai Kona. The Mercedes then traveled into the median and struck a Tesla Model 3 and a Hyundai Elantra.
A Hyundai Elantra attempted to avoid the collision and drove onto the grass median, where it then struck the rear of the Mercedes.
Three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
