Gainesville-based Gold Creek Foods, LLC announced that they will acquire the assets of Campos Foods LLC.

Now, all assets of Campos Foods LLC, a food processing facility based in Caryville, Tennessee, will be owned by Gold Creek Foods, LLC. This agreement includes the popular Quick’N Eat brand.

In a statement, Gold Creek Foods CEO Mark Sosebee said the company hopes to retain as many of Campos Foods’ employees as possible.

“Our team has been proactive about hiring, and to date 98% of the Campos Foods previous team members have committed to continue working with us here in Caryville,” Sosebee said. “We are thankful for their dedication.”

Representatives from Gold Creek Foods made frequent visits to Tennesee and were impressed by the state’s workforce and the success of the Quick’N Eat brand.

Gold Creek Foods will also upgrade the Campos Foods’ plant with new technology, safety improvements and modernized, updated equipment. These improvements will increase efficiency at the Caryville plant and its workers' environment.

“Because of our already existing long-term relationship with Campos Foods and its parent company, George’s, Inc., we knew what a well-run business they are and felt confident that this would be a fantastic opportunity for all involved,” Sosebee said.
