For those out there who were expecting a lot of crashes and mayhem at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, it just didn't go down that way.

Our Hard Left Turn crew takes a look at the news and notes coming out of the NASCAR race weekend, including:

-Chase Elliott used a last lap pass to score the NASCAR Cup Series win at Talladega - becoming the first Playoff driver to win.

-While there were four cautions on the day for on-track incidents, they usual carnage just didn't happen.  Why?

-With Elliott now locked into the Round of 8, is the Playoff picture any less murky?

-It was a tumultuous weekend off the track, as several drivers continued to question the safety of the Next Gen car.

-Plus we'll preview this weekend's action from the Charlotte infield road course.

WDUN will carry live PRN Radio coverage of the NASCAR race weekend from the Charlotte Motor Speedway, begining with Saturday's Drive for the Cure 250 starting at 2:30 pm on 102.9 FM and streaming live on AccessWDUN.  Coverage continues on Sunday with the NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America 400 at 1 pm on 102.9 FM and streaming live on AccessWDUN.
