Despite a tough second half offensively, the Lanier Christian girls held on for a 34-29 win over Killian Hill on Saturday night in GAPPS region action.
The Lady Lightning (8-12, 2-4 GAPPS) scored just 2 points in the fourth quarter and managed just 9 in the second half but got several key defensive stops down the stretch.
Senior Ashley Avery and junior Camille Hoffman pulled down 13 rebounds apiece and Avery finished with a game-high 13 points as well. Moriah Clark and Kaitlyn DeLozier scored 6 points each.
