FLOWERY BRANCH — East Hall had three players in double-figures as the Lady Vikings knocked off Flowery Branch 51-45 on the road in Region 8-4A action Friday night.
Audrey Griffin poured in 17 points, Alexis Burce had 12, and Amari Burce 10 for East Hall (10-9, 3-5 Region 8-4A), which moved into a tie with the Lady Falcons (7-12, 3-5 Region 8-4A) for fifth place.
It was a back-and-forth affair early as the two teams finished the first quarter tied at 13. The Lady Vikings took a 25-22 lead into halftime but Branch pulled within 41-40 heading into the fourth quarter.
East Hall pulled away over the final eight minutes holding the Lady Falcons to just 6 points.
Shaina Kriews led Branch with 23 points, including going 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. Bella Brick added 9 points for the Lady Falcons.
East Hall next will play host to Chestatee on Tuesday in region play.
Branch will travel to No. 2 Jefferson on Tuesday in Region 8-4A action.

The Lady Tigers snapped a two-game losing streak with a thrilling overtime win at home.
The victory kept Dawson County (12-8, 5-5 Region 7-3A) no worse than fifth place in the region standings.
The Lady Broncos fell to 13-6 overall and 6-4 in Region 7-3A with the loss and snapped a two-game winning streak.

The Lady Lightning fell to host Westminster Christian Academy in a region matchup on Friday.
Ashley Avery had a double-double for LCA (7-12, 1-4 GAPPS) with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and added 2 blocks, and Camille Hoffman had 5 points and pulled down 21 boards. Seventh-grader Adelyn Gough added 10 points, freshman Ellie Roberts added 7 points and 8 rebounds and sophomore Moriah Clark had 5 points for the Lady Lightning.
LCA next will travel to Killian Hill in a rescheduled region matchup on Saturday.
FORSYTH CENTRAL 50,
GAINESVILLE 42
The Lady Bulldogs (1-9, 1-19 Region 6-7A) broke a 22-game skid that dated back to last season with the win over Gainesville (1-7, 8-11 Region 6-7A) on the road Friday.
Jillian Bretz was the main reason as she poured in 25 points and 13 rebounds to lead Forsyth Central to the victory.
In a back and forth first half, the two region foes changed the lead seven times, before the Lady Red Elephants grabbed a 20-18 lead off a Zaria Williams 3-pointer with 17 seconds left in the second quarter and the eventual two-point lead at the half.
In the third quarter, both continued the tight pace with the Lady Bulldogs taking a 23-21 lead off a Taylor Jackson 3-pointer with 6:20 left in the quarter, but Gainesville's Keidra Young answered with a trey to tie the game a few seconds later, 23-23.
After that, there were five ties and six lead changes. Keidra Young tied the game on a two-point bucket at the end of the third, 34-34.
In the fourth quarter, however, Forsyth Central began to take control, going up 47-39 with 1:34 to go.
Keidra Young lead Gainesville with 17 points, while Caloni Young had 9.
