COAL MOUNTAIN — Class 7A No. 2 North Forsyth took over sole possession of first place in Region 6-7A with a dominating 62-46 win over No. 5 South Forsyth on Friday at home.
North Forsyth ran its win streak to four straight, all by double-digits, and three in a row in the region.
The Lady Raiders (15-3, 6-0 Region 6-7A) outscored the Lady War Eagles (15-4, 5-1 Region 6-7A) in every quarter. And it was bombs away right from the start for the Lady Raiders.
They hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter while running out to a 19-12 lead. North Forsyth pushed its lead to 31-22 by halftime. The Lady Raiders took a 47-36 lead into the fourth quarter and pulled away late.
Anna Gliatta poured in 16 points to pace North Forsyth. Leah Hall had 12 points on four 3-pointers for the Lady Raiders.
Ciara Morris and Ava McGlockton each had 14 points for the Lady War Eagles. Sharon Tolliver contributed with 8 points for South Forsyth.
