Northeast Georgia Medical Center's Gainesville and Braselton locations rang in the New Year with three newborn babies.

Proud parents Max Avery and Ashley Davis welcomed Maxwell Avery into the world at 12:21 a.m. Saturday. The newborn, who weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 20 inches long, was named Baby New Year 2022 for Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Several hours later, on NGMC's Braselton campus, a set of twins was welcomed as Braselton's Baby New Year 2022. Blair Kendall Ann Driscoll, weighing 5 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 19 inches long, and Salem Raime Lynn Driscoll, weighing five pounds, twelve ounces and measuring 19-and-a-half inches long, were welcomed by mother Cora Amber Johns just after 3 p.m.

As a part of being named Baby New Year, the families received a gift package from Northeast Georgia Health System Auxiliary, The Window Shops and Safe Kids Northeast Georgia. The package included a $150 Target gift card, Pack 'n Play and swaddle blanket among other necessities for a newborn.

Each year Northeast Georgia Health System names a Baby New Year for its hospital locations in Gainesville and Braselton.
