TIGER — The one was never in question as Rabun County stormed past Pickens, SC, 70-14, at home on Friday.
Gunner Stockton had another seven touchdown night, tossing six touchdowns on a 16-for-18, 350-yard performance. He also added a rushing touchdown.
His top target, Ethan Clarke, hauled in 137 of those yards on six catches, while Baxley O'Brien caught four passes for 80 yards and two scores.
Lang Windham led the ground attack with five carries for 111 yards and three touchdowns. He added 81 receiving yards and a score. The Wildcats (4-1) finished with 525 total yards of offense.
After going up 7-0 to start the game off a Windham seven-yard run, Pickens answered late in the opening period to tie the game, 7-7. After that, the Wildcats' offense used the big play to extend their lead to 28-7 at the half.
Stockton hit Jaden Gibson on a 30-yard pass, Clarke on a 55-yard pass and Windham on an 81-yard pass.
In the second half, Rabun County continued its onslaught adding 35 points. Windham added his second rushing touchdown early in the second half on a 29-yard run. Later on, Tate Ramey grabbed a 12-yard pass from Stockton, an 11-yard Stockton touchdown run and two scoring strikes to O'Brien -- an 8-yard and 28-yard.
Windham added the final touchdown with 8:58 left in the fourth quarter.
