Ralston sits 2nd in 1st stage of Korn Ferry Q-School tourney

VALDOSTA — Gainesville's Spencer Ralston sits just two strokes back of the lead after the second round of the 1st Stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Course.

Ralston fired a 4-under 68 on Wednesday to put him at 7-under for the tournament. Blake Wagoner of Cornelius, N.C. leads at the halfway point with a two-day total 9-under. The third round will be held Thursday with the final round on Friday.

The top 21 and ties will advance to the Korn Ferry Tour 2nd Stage Qualifying Tournament, which will be held on Oct 19-22 at the Plantation Preserve GC in Plantation, Fla. The finals will be on Nov 4-7 at Savannah's The Landings Club.
 
Ralston shot an even-par 36 on the front-nine but caught fire late birdieing four of the final five holes to vault into second place.
Five golfers are within two shots of Ralston. The cut line was projected at 1-under.
