DAWSONVILLE – Dawson County earned its first win of the season in a big way on Friday night at Tiger Stadium in Dawsonville.

The Tigers’ offense exploded to rout Northview 52-7 to give Sid Maxwell his 49th victory as head coach at Dawson County. The win makes him the winningest coach in Dawson County history, surpassing Jeff Lee.

The Tiger defense was just as impressive, holding the Titans to negative rushing yards through three quarters and 129 total yards of offense.

Dawson County used a balanced attack, rushing for 156 yards and passing for 134 yards. Bailey Dameron turned in his fourth straight 100-yard receiving game, hauling in six catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.

The Tigers were well in control by the end of the first half, up 52-0. Kade Moledor highlighted the defensive play with an interception for a touchdown with 7:22 to go in the first quarter.

Logan Berry also picked up a fumbled punt snap and scampered six yards for a touchdown.
