The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and community partners will host a one-day, community-wide COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot clinic on October 6.
According to a press release, the clinic will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Gainesville Civic Center. Anyone 12 years of age and older are eligible for the free COVID vaccine. No appointments are necessary and ID’s are not required to receive a vaccine.
The reason the clinic is being held is to help combat the rising COVID-19 cases in the community, according to a press release. Due to patient overcrowding, healthcare providers have reached capacity with staffing and managing facilities.
Incentives will be offered to those receiving the vaccine including TVs and gas cards.
