GAINESVILLE — Anna Reeves singled in Bre Stowers in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a huge five-run rally and give North Hall a 5-4 victory over Gilmer in Region 7-3A play on Thursday.
The Lady Trojans (5-9, 3-6 Region 7-3A) trailed 4-0 going into the seventh but banged out four of their five hits in the final frame. North Hall got its first run on an error then Stowers doubled in two runs to cut the lead to 4-3 and put the winning run on base.
After another Gilmer error allowed the Lady Trojans to tie the game, Reeves followed with the game-winner.
Emily Hlavacek got the win for North Hall, surrendering four runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out one.
The Lady Bobcats (2-10, 2-5 Region 7-3A) looked to be in control scoring a run in the fourth, two in the sixth, and another in the seventh for a 4-0 advantage.
Stowers, Reeves, Hlavacek, Ashley Callahan, and Kendal Clackum all had one hit for North Hall.
North Hall will continue region play on Monday traveling to West Hall.

The Lady Bears ran their win streak to six straight after a big Region 7-3A win in six innings at home on Thursday.
Cherokee Bluff (10-2, 7-1 Region 7-3A) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first but Dawson County (3-12, 3-5 Region 7-3A) rallied to tie the game at 2 with single runs in the second and third. The Lady Bears reclaimed the lead 5-2 with a three-run third and added one in the fifth and invoked the mercy rule with four more in the sixth.
Mia Williams had a huge day at the plate going 3-for-3 with a home run, triple, and a double with 3 RBI. Stephanie Condland added her sixth home run of the season and Lauren Rule drove in two runs as well.
Izzy Herren earned the victory in the circle for Cherokee Bluff allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out four in six innings.
