An elderly man was killed in an accident in Forsyth County between his SUV and a semi-truck Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred on Matt Highway and Old Federal Road, according to information released by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning.
A 2012 Kia Soul, driven by Bobby Fetner of Ball Ground, was approaching Matt Highway, traveling south on Old Federal Road, when witnesses say he failed to stop for a stop sign and pulled into the path of the semi-truck. The 2018 Kenworth semi-truck was traveling west on Matt Highway and approaching the Old Federal Road intersection.The semi-truck struck the Kia on the front driver's door.
Fetner was pronounced dead on the scene; the semi-truck driver was not injured, the sheriff's office said.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
