TIGER — The Johnson girls volleyball team swept a tri-meet on Tuesday on the road.
The Lady Knights opened by rallying past the host Lady Wildcats 11-25, 25-23, 15-9 and held off Stephens County 25-22, 25-19 in the second match.
Kali Lyons had 8 aces, 8 assists, and 5 kills to pace the Lady Knights. Alexa Berry had 7 aces and 6 kills and Carleigh Odell added 3 aces and 5 assists for Johnson.
Johnson impoved to 6-4 on the season and will travel to East Hall on Thursday.
LADY BEARS SWEEP TRI-MATCH
The Lady Bears knocked off Jackson County 25-16 and 25-21 and then held off Mill Creek 25-16 and 25-23.
GB Cornett did a little of everything to pace Cherokee Bluff in the two matches. Cornett had 4 kills, 4 aces, 6 blocks, 4 digs and 13 assists.
Sage Sutulovich had 10 kills, 1 ace, 4 blocks and 4 digs, Abbi Hutchins had 4 aces, 11 digs and 3 assists, and Madelyn Levine added 1 ace, 6 digs and 17 assists for the Lady Bears. Emma Staples had 8 kills, 5 aces and 1 dig, Kayla Burroughs had 2 digs, and Brandyn Peterson had 5 blocks and 1 dig.
Ellie Curtin slammed 2 aces. Olivia Owens had 2 kills and 3 blocks, and Sierra Piland added 2 kills and 4 blocks for Cherokee Bluff.
