Police identify man stabbed to death in domestic dispute in Lawrenceville

UPDATE AUGUST 10, 8:09 A.M.: Police have identified the victim and the woman taken into custody at the scene. The victim was identified as Ricky Bryant, 34, of Lawrenceville. The woman arrested has been identified as Nathalie Stewart, 43, of Lawrenceville. Stewart has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.

ORIGINAL STORY AUGUST 8, 7:22 P.M.: A domestic dispute in Gwinnett County leaves one man dead after being stabbed numerous times. An investigation is underway to determine what led to that stabbing, but the Gwinnett County Police Department do say that a woman on scene is a suspect. 

When police arrived to the Lawrenceville home on Planters Cove Circle just before midnight on Saturday, they found the man suffering from stab wounds. They rendered aid, but the man, who was in his 30’s, died as a result of the injuries. 

The woman at the scene was placed into custody and taken to jail. 

There were three children at the home at the time of the stabbing. Two teenagers and an infant were there, but none were injured. It’s unclear if they witnessed the event. 

The name of the victim is being withheld until next-of-kin can be notified.
