Rough 3rd round drops Ralston into 41st at L&J Championship

WATKINSVILLE — A rough third round on Friday for Spencer Ralston dropped the former Gainesville High and Georgia standout into a tie for 41st place at the L&J Championship at Jennings Mill Country Club, part of the Forme Tour.

And for the second straight day the back-nine was the problem. Ralston was 2-under for the day when he double-bogeyed the Par 4 13th and triple-bogeyed the Par 5 16th after a bogey on No. 14. He closed out the day with a birdie on the Par 3 17th and a par on No. 18 to finish with a 3-over 75.

Ralston sits at 4-under (212) and is tied with seven others. They all sit eight shots behind leaders Peyton White and Alexandre Fuchs, who are at 12-under after 54 holes.

White and Fuchs are the fifth and sixth different leaders through the first three rounds..

The final will begin on Saturday at 7:30 a.m.. Ralston will tee-off at 7:50 a.m. starting on No. 10.

Ralston is playing in his first tournament after turning pro earlier in the week and made the cut in his first Forme Tour event.
