Teen charged in Gainesville car accident

A teenager is facing charges in connection to a two vehicle wreck Thursday night in Gainesville.

The name of the 17 year old boy was not released. He was charged with "safety belts required, too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, and expired tag," according to an email update from the Gainesville Police Department.

The teen was driving a black Toyota Sequoia north on Thompson Bridge Road when he lost control of the vehicle, crossing through the central turn lane and into southbound traffic, hitting a silver Honda CRV.

The driver of the Honda CRV, Megan Baugh, 21, of Gainesville, suffered a broken leg and was transported to the hospital.

A third person, Reagan Polcyn, 20, of Gainesville, was a passenger in the Honda CRV. She was transported with minor injuries,
