Construction in Lumpkin County will close a busy section of road north of Dahlonega. Construction of a new roundabout will close State Route 60, locally known as North Grove Street. According to a Facebook post fromt he Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office, the closure will take place at the intersection of Oak Grove Road now through August 3. Until then, a detour will be necessary. The road will reopen on August 3, however there may still be some delays as construction continues.
