Masks no longer required in Gwinnett County government buildings

Posted 8:19PM on Sunday 23rd May 2021 ( 2 years ago )

As COVID numbers decline, Gwinnett County has made the decision to lift a mask requirement in government buildings. Masks are no longer required to enter.

The county announced on its website Friday that an executive order was issued to rescind the mask mandate that was put in place earlier this year.

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, the decision was made as the number of people testing positive for COVID is on the decline. Also, more than one-third of the county residents have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.

They are also following guidelines the CDC recently issued stating that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks.
