Ashley Thompson ran her way to the 3,200-meter Class 7A championship on Saturday at the GHSA Track and Field State Championships at McEachern High School.
Thompson strolled past the finish line with a time of 10:59 to capture the title. She adds the state title trophy to her collection of trophies this athletic season. She was runner-up in the GHSA state cross country meet in the fall.
