At last report, a toddler from Cumming was hospitalized in Miami, Florida following a swimming pool accident on Friday morning.

CBS 46 in Atlanta said the 2-year-old girl and her family were on vacation in the Florida Keys when the adults lost sight of the toddler before they found her unconscious in the swimming pool of their rental home.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reported to Florida media that CPR was performed on the child before she was transported to Fisherman's Hospital in Marathon. She was later airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami. Her condition was unknown Saturday morning.

At the time of the accident - just before 11 a.m. Friday - the family was staying at a vacation rental home in the 100 block of Coco Plum Drive in Marathon. Foul play is not believed to be a factor.

The name of the child has not been released.
