GAINESVILLE — Forsyth Central's Will Robbins put on a pitching clinic against North Hall on Tuesday at Lynn Cottrell Field.
Robbins fanned 17 North Hall batters in six-plus innings but it still wasn't enough as the Class 3A No. 2-ranked Trojans rallied for a 2-1 walk-off win despite being no-hit.
The Bulldogs looked to be headed to a 1-0 shutout when Robbins took the mound to start the seventh, but he walked Jace Bowen to start the inning and was relieved by Tyler Smith.
Smith then fanned Bradford Puryear but walked Jaret Bales, Luke Erickson, and Tate Brooks in succession scoring Bowen to tie the game. Smith then hit Baker Dyer with the bases still loaded for the game-winner.
The Trojans got a solid performance from a pair of hurlers as well. Hunter Brooks started and went 5 2/3 innings for North Hall allowing one run on four hits while striking out four and walking six. Dyer went the final 1 2/3 innings surrendering just two hits to get the win in relief.
AJ Fiechter led Forsyth Central with three hits in three at-bats.

WHITE COUNTY 4
The War Eagles battled back from an early 4-2 deficit to knock the Warriors on the road.
Chestatee opened the game with a pair of runs in the first on an error and a fielder's choice RBI from Nolan Turner. But White County answered with four runs in the bottom of the first.
The Warriors got a run back on an error and tied it on a balk call. Evan Chambers singled in Nate Bray for a 3-2 lead and they capped the big inning scoring a second run off a Chestatee error.
But the War Eagles chipped away getting a run in the third on an RBI groundout from Mattox Miller and another in the fourth on a fielder's choice RBI from Nick McKoy. They got the eventual game-winner in the fifth on an RBI single from Turner scoring Miller.
Bryan Cantrell started for Chestatee and lasted 3 2/3 innings giving up four runs, just two earned, on two hits. Hunter Bennett would take over for Cantrell and went 3 2/3 innings surrendering just two hits and no runs while striking out two. Miller got the save going the final 1 2/3 striking out three and giving up just one hit for the War Eagles.
J Ben Haynes started for White County and gave up three runs, only two earned, on just one hit and two walks while fanning two in three innings of work. Jake Johnson would take the loss for the Warriors allowing two runs on four hits in 2 1/3 innings. Bray went the final 1 2/3 allowing no hits and walking one
Miller and Levi Stowers each had two hits for Chestatee.
Rylee Higgins, Haynes, Johnson, Chambers, and Bailee Patterson all had one hit for White County.
FLOWERY BRANCH 5,
MILL CREEK 1
The Class 4A No. 2-ranked Falcons held off the Class 7A Hawks on Tuesday.
Jake Beaver got the win fanning five and Aaron Attaway earned the save striking our four for Flowery Branch.
JB Bell had two hits to pace the Falcons offense. Connor Larson, Beaver, Mason Compton, Baxley O'Brien, and Kaleb Freeman all had one hit for Flowery Branch. Kade Smallwood provided an RBI sacrifice fly as well.
DAWSON COUNTY 12,

Carter Turkett came within one batter of tossing a no-hitter to lead the Tigers to a win in five innings.
Turkett finished allowing just one hit while fanning eight.
The Tigers scored single runs in the first and second and Brandon Cramer provided the big hit with a grand slam to cap an 8-run third inning for a 10-0 lead. Dawson County scored twice more in the fourth and closed it out in the fifth.
Kolton Rucker had three hits and 3 RBI for Dawson County. Cramer and Tuckett each had two hits for the Tigers.
