Soccer: Lakeview girls beat NHall for first win; boys finish in a draw

GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview girls soccer team got its first victory of the season with an 11-3 win over North Hall on Tuesday night at home.

Millie Filson had a huge night for the Lady Lions (1-2) netting five goals on offense. Sara Nivens and Annie Nivens each scored twice and Mckenna Filson and Lauren Scott each tallied one goal for Lakeview.

For North Hall (0-1) Michelle Tymchuk scored two goals and Karina Shanks scored once in the Lady Trojans.

Lakeview next will play host to Johnson on Friday.

North Hall is off until playing host to Banks County next Tuesday.

The Lions and Trojans played to draw at Lakeview as both are still looking for their first wins of the season.

Lakeview (0-2-2) got a late score to tie the match on a Luke Cooper cross to Whit Coyle. Lakeview’s first goal came from Sam Perrott off a pass from Brian Ramsey.

Lewis Coyle recorded 12 saves in goal for the Lions.
