Missing man found safe in Lumpkin County

Update: 

A search for a missing Forsyth County man in Lumpkin County has come to an end. The man was found safe, although a bit cold, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office.

The search began after an accident when the man may have left the area on foot. They were concerned about that he was confused and needed medication.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook to say the man was doing fine and to thank everyone who called with information.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who may have walked away from a motor vehicle accident.

The man, who was not named, is thought to have been involved in the wreck and then left the scene on foot, according to a post on the agency's social media. The wreck occurred in the area of Town Creek Church Road and Frog Hollow Road.

The man is described as white, 29 years of age, 5'11'' tall, 202 pounds with a long brown beard, balding hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and pants. He is believed to be from Forsyth County.

The Sheriff's Office said in the post the last time the person was spoken to on the phone, he appeared confused and disoriented. He may be in need of prescribed medication.
