Gwinnett Place Mall transforms into vaccine distribution site for the county

Posted 7:09PM on Thursday 4th February 2021 ( 3 years ago )

Gwinnett Place Mall will soon serve as a vaccine distribution site.  Beginning Saturday, the former Sears store at the mall in Duluth will be the new COVID-19 vaccination facility for the county.

According to the AJC, the county health department’s current location in Lawrenceville will stop distribution in order to move everything to the new space.

It’s reported that the new space will be able to handle up to 3,000 doses given, if supply is available. Currently, due to limits in that supply, they are anticipating providing 1,000 vaccinations a day.

Appointments can be made through the health department online at gnrhealth.com.
