With the Christmas break and holiday tournament's fastly approaching, Northeast Georgia area teams are rushing headlong into some key region games this weekend.
Region 7-3A will have four huge games on Friday on both the boys and girls side as teams look to position themselves for when region action returns after the N Year. The same for Region 8-4A, as Chestatee and Flowery Branch both are at home against area foes East Hall and Jefferson.
Meanwhile, Region 8-6A joins the rest of the area opening region play on Friday. Buford plays host to Lanier while Habersham Central travels to Central Gwinnett to get things started.
Region 8-A Public also gets under with Commerce and Towns County both on the road on Saturday.
Lakeview Academy is at home against King's Ridge in Region 6-A Private.
