At the start of the new year, Brian Arnold will take the reins of Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation (KMA) in Gainesville.

"This appointment is a significant milestone for Kubota and for KMA with Brian Arnold being the first American to serve in this important role since KMA was established in 1988," said Kubota Vice President Phil Sutton.

Hirohiko (Hiro) Arai currently is the president of both Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA) in Gainesville and Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) in Jefferson.  Arai will remain president of KIE, according to Sutton.

Sutton said Arnold joined Kubota in 1995 after graduating from Southern Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He served first as an engineer and rose steadily through the ranks at KMA to vice president of operations and now president.

“I am extremely humbled and excited to have the opportunity take on this new role and the challenges of leading such a great team of men and women dedicated to the profession of manufacturing,” Arnold said.

Sutton said over the past 26 years, Arnold has participated in and led many initiatives which have helped the company to grow to be among the most important and trusted Kubota manufacturing facilities in the world. KMA currently employs more than 2,000 people in the Gainesville/Hall County area.
