Girls basketball: Branch knocks off Chestatee; LCA wins; East Hall, Johnson lose

GAINESVILLE — Shaina Kriews scored 21 points to rally Flowery Branch past Chestatee, 47-43, on Friday at the Lynn Cottrell Complex.

Trailing 24-16 at the half, the Lady Falcons outscored Chestatee, 31-16, to complete the second-half comeback. 

Deniya Randolph added 10 points, while Amyia Scott chipped in nine points in the win. 


CEDAR SHOALS 50,
EAST HALL 34

Audrey Griffin led East Hall with 19 points in the loss to Cedar Shoals on the road Friday. 


LANIER CHRISTIAN 38,
JFCA 37

Ashley Avery drained a 3-pointer to seal the win for the Lady Lighting on Friday against JFCA. 

Avery led LCA with 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots. Junior Camille Hoffman added 10 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked four shots.


CLARKE CENTRAL 55,
JOHNSON 30

Carleigh Odell scored 13 points to lead the Lady Knights in the loss to Clarke Central. Sarah Johnson added nine points, and Ashley Mintz had 8.
