A pedestrian was struck and killed in Lawrenceville Saturday night, and Gwinnett County Police are looking for two drivers in connection with the deadly incident.

Julio Sandoval, 55, of Norcross reportedly was walking across the Singleton Road north of Thompson Parkway when he was struck by the first vehicle. A second vehicle then hit him. Sandoval died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

Police said both vehicles left the scene after striking Sandoval. Witnesses told investigators the driver of a red Toyota passenger car stopped after hitting Sandoval and saw him lying in the road; the driver then fled the scene.

At this point, investigators do not have descriptions of either driver. They're asking any witnesses to call Gwinnett County Police Department investigators at 678-442-5653 or contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
