With the Thanksgiving tournaments now, behind the area, basketball teams will get ready to jump into region schedules later this week and next.
A limited schedule is set for Tuesday for some final preparations as team get ready to begin their quest for state playoff berths. Several ranked teams will be in actin.
The Gainesville boys face a tough road challenge at No. 5 North Gwinnett in Class 7A action. The Class 6A No. 2 Buford boys play host to Parkview. The Class 4A fifth-ranked Jefferson boys travel to Stephens County. The Class 2A 10th-ranked Rabun County boys head to Franklin County.
For the girls, Class 6A No. 3 Buford travels to North Gwinnett. The Class 4A second-ranked Jefferson girls travel to Stephens County; the Class 2A fourth-ranked Rabun County girls head to Franklin County; and the Class 2A No. 7 Union County girls travel to North Hall.
