A faulty heating unit is being blamed for a residential fire in Dawsonville. On Saturday night, a two-story home caught fire on Nix Bridge Rd. When fire crews arrived to the home around 8:21 p.m., heavy smoke could be seen coming from the house.
According to fire chief Danny Thompson, the fire was brought under control quickly and there were no injuries reported.
